8bit Solutions got it’s start way back in 2001 as a couple of college kids building web pages back in the days of Macromedia and Dreamweaver UltraDev. We didn’t have fancy things like content management thingamajigs or open source whatchamacallits. CSS and SEO were just mythical creatures of the future. We had to code barefoot, in the snow, uphill both ways, and *gasp* for IE 4, 5, 5.5, & 6!

That’s ancient history though. Today we have some of the coolest tools ever to help us build websites. And by far the best tools ever created for the web are Content Management Systems, and the best Content Management Systems are of course Open Source.
